Valentine's Day and Lent

Do not go see Valentine's Day. I walked out. That is all on that subject.

Although I am not Catholic, my family celebrates Lent. The 40 day period in which you give up something to prove you are cool. Well for the sake of blashphemy, I usually give up nothing. Because if there is nothing to cheat with, I'm more likely to stay on the righteous path. I even tried to think of something easy to give up, but nothing came to mind. Isn't the point of living a godly life, is to enjoy things? And the things I enjoy aren't necessarily bad for me. I could give up beer, but I have 2 6packs of my favorite sitting in my fridge. Plus, come Easter, I would be drunk off my arse. And that's not very christian like. Unless you are one of the hundred million Christians who drink. I met a lot of Christians in AA. (that was a court ordered appearance. Crap, am I digging a deeper hole?) So basically, I'm just saying that I'm giving up Lent for Lent this year. Hey, it's not in the rule book that you can't
