Slumdog Millionaire won 4 Golden Globes, 26 other awards and has 35 nominations...and deservedly so. Holly, Melvin and I ventured across town to the only indie theatre in Charleston to check this movie out. We snuck in our own goodies such as Good & Plenty, Reese's Pieces, and Trail Mix. After a $7 ticket (cheaper than the regular movies), $4.25 Cherry Coke, and a $5 popcorn, we settled into our seats to enjoy the show. This is hands-down one of the most amazing movies I've ever seen. Tears, laughter, heartbreak--all emotions that you will feel while watching this movie. It's an amazing tale of triumph and love. You will instantly fall in love with the main character Jamal at his early age of about 5. He's the most adorable kid you will ever see and you fall deeper in love with him as he ages throughout the film. You cheer and cry for him. If you have a theatre in your area playing this movie, I highly recommend that you check this out immediately.
